Unravel the Mystery

What makes you different from other murder mystery companies?

We specialise in true immersion. Many companies describe their shows as “interactive,” but what they really mean is a scripted play followed by a short Q&A. With us, the interaction never stops. Our actors stay in character throughout the entire event, mingling with guests, answering questions, and revealing clues naturally as the story unfolds. You don’t just watch the mystery — you live inside it.

We also operate differently behind the scenes. We only accept bookings we know we can cast from our established pool of trusted actors. Some companies take bookings first and scramble for performers later, often relying on huge lists of strangers they’ve never met. We don’t work that way. Andy and Karen personally know every actor who performs for us — their strengths, their look, their logistics — ensuring every role is cast intentionally rather than filled by whoever happens to be available.

How do we book a show?

Nice and simple: head to our Contact Us page and send an enquiry. From there, we’ll talk through your options and arrange a time to chat properly.

How many actors are in a show?

Our standard event features six actors — five characters plus a police inspector — ideal for up to 60 guests. For larger events (up to around 100 guests), some shows expand to 7, 8, or even 9 actors and we do have a limited number of smaller 5 actor shows for up to 40 guests. We also run our "You Dun It" experiences for smaller numbers of guests led by two of our actors.

How do your shows run?

We won’t spoil the surprises, but here’s the general flow (timings may vary slightly by event):

  • Around 7:30 pm — A team member gathers guests for a quick briefing: house rules, setting, and what to expect.

  • Shortly after — Characters begin entering the room one by one, interacting naturally with guests.

  • Around 8 pm — The inspector arrives, and the story takes its first major turn.

  • Over the next 90–120 minutes

    • Characters mingle, answer questions, and perform short scenes across the room.

    • Evidence is introduced for guests to examine.

    • The plot deepens as relationships, motives, and secrets emerge.

  • Around 9:45–10:15 pm depending on the event size— The inspector delivers the final report, revealing the culprit and making the arrest.

What do you need from us?

Just a few essentials:

  • A private room separate from the event space for actors to store belongings, change, and prepare. We need this 90–120 minutes before the show.

  • A place to display evidence, such as notice boards or suitable wall space.

  • Water and food for the actors — they sit among guests in character, so their meal should match what guests are served (buffet access or a place setting works perfectly).

How much does a show cost?

There’s no single fixed price. Costs depend on the location, date, and size of the event. Venues booking multiple shows can access contract discounts.

When are deposits and final payments due?

We take a non‑returnable date security pa yment with contract signing to secure your date. Final payment is due closer to the event although this can vary from booking to booking depending on circumstances and instalment payments can be arranged. (Cancellations follow our standard terms and conditions.)

Are you insured?

Yes — our performances are covered by public liability insurance for anything directly related to the show. Please ensure your venue has any additional required insurance in place. Our Equipment is also covered by PLI and has Electrical testing certificates in place.

Experience the excitement of our murder mystery shows that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
